29 April 2026 | RISM, Bangunan Juruukur, Petaling Jaya
A new circle of professional friendship and collaboration was brought together on 29 April 2026 with the inaugural gathering of the Ladies Presidents Club, hosted by the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM) at Bangunan Juruukur, Petaling Jaya.
The initiative brings together women Presidents and senior leaders of professional and industry organisations across the construction, built environment and project management sectors — industries that have traditionally been largely male-dominated.
The gathering was hosted by Sr Wan Ainon Zuraiha W A Khalid CQS, President of RISM, with ACPM represented by its President, PMr Sr Dr Wan Maimun Wan Abdullah.
Joining the founding circle were women leaders representing RISM, ACPM, the Institute of Landscape Architects Malaysia (ILAM), IPMA Malaysia, the Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers (MIID), and the Asia Pacific General Galvanizing Association (APGGA).
Connecting the Women Behind the Organisations
The inaugural session provided an informal and engaging platform for the Presidents to introduce their respective organisations, share current initiatives and gain a better understanding of the different professional communities they represent.
Beyond organisational introductions, the gathering created an opportunity for these women leaders to connect personally, exchange experiences and discuss the opportunities and challenges of leading professional organisations within their respective industries.
Sharing Networks, Exposure and Opportunities
The Ladies Presidents Club is envisioned as an informal professional network where participating organisations can remain connected and support one another through knowledge sharing, cross-promotion of industry events, professional exposure, networking and potential collaborative opportunities.
By bringing together leaders from different disciplines, the network also opens doors for their respective organisations and members to connect beyond their traditional professional boundaries.

Women Leadership in Traditionally Male-Dominated Industries
The gathering also celebrated the increasing presence of women in leadership positions across professions and industries historically dominated by men.
Each President brings her own professional background, leadership experience and perspective, yet the session demonstrated how much common ground exists when industry leaders come together in an open and supportive environment.
It was a meeting built not around formality, but around connection, mutual support and the simple idea that stronger professional relationships can create wider opportunities for everyone.
And When the Ladies Get Together…
Of course, when a room is filled with dynamic women leaders, the conversation does not stay entirely formal for very long.
The inaugural gathering was filled with warm conversations, laughter, colourful personalities and genuine camaraderie — proving that professional networking can be both meaningful and enjoyable.
A little laughter, a little colour, plenty of ideas — and perhaps the beginning of many more collaborations to come.

Looking Forward to the Next Gathering
The first Ladies Presidents Club gathering marked the beginning of what is hoped to become a continuing platform for friendship, professional exchange and collaboration among women leaders across the industry.
ACPM looks forward to future gatherings and to seeing the network grow — creating more opportunities for participating organisations to connect, share and support one another.
Our appreciation to Sr Wan Ainon Zuraiha W A Khalid CQS and RISM for hosting the inaugural gathering and bringing everyone together.
Here’s to more conversations, collaborations — and memorable gatherings ahead.
